QueerExchanging

Everything about your intercultural youth exchange

This part of the website is specifically about the experiences of gay exchange students and transgender people and how they perceive or have perceived their sexual identity during the exchange year and afterwards.

It is about German rainbow families who have taken in a young person as a host family for a longer period of time and the perspective of German young people who have lived abroad with a rainbow family for a year.
You can find all of this in the testimonials ...

We also have frequently asked questions (FAQ) that may answer the first questions. The answers are mostly to be understood as examples.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions, for example in other initial situations. Just take Contact us to us!

Have you already decided on an exchange?

If you already know that you want to do an exchange then take a look at your options. You can find all information about the various AFS programs during school days or as a young adult, as a family or as a volunteer on the AFS website.

And also see if that Rainbow Scholarship is something for you! It is aimed at young people who openly identify themselves as LGBTQ * and thus have a role model function for others and are involved in their social environment.
